Amabata Horyu Inkstone is a traditional Japanese inkstone
crafted from Amabata stone, a renowned inkstone material from Koshu (Yamanashi Prefecture), Japan.
This rectangular double-sided inkstone is designed for versatility and practical use,
allowing different grinding textures on each surface to suit various styles of calligraphy.
With a well-balanced size of 13.9 × 7.8 × 1.5 cm and a solid weight of 345 g,
it offers excellent stability while grinding ink, making it suitable for
both daily practice and refined calligraphy work.
The back of the inkstone is finely engraved with the inscription “Amabata”,
a mark of authenticity that reflects the long-standing tradition
of Japanese inkstone craftsmanship.
